Pauline Anne Elizabeth Habetz Reiners Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata, LA, for Pauline Anne Elizabeth Habetz Reiners, 89, who died on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Ochsner Acadia Extended Care in Crowley, LA. Interment will be in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Mowata, LA. Reverend Andrew Schumacher, Pastor of St. John The Evangelist in Mermentau, LA and St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Estherwood, LA, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lector will be Nick Simoneaux. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 10:00 am in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Mowata, LA. The family requests that visiting hours be observed St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Mowata, LA on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. Pauline was born on July 14, 1934, in Roberts Cove, Louisiana. On any given day, Pauline could be seen lifting her heart and raising her hands to help someone feel more comfortable. She was the most loyal friend you could ever know. Her life revolved around doing for others, and her devotion to prayer carried her through her life. During her mother’s elder years, she tirelessly cared for and visited her mother to see to her comfort. During her children’s school years, she assisted and guided her children through their classwork and projects, including 4-H projects, with the patience of a saint. As her husband, Stoon, worked through his farming years, she welcomed him home with heartwarming meals, and she continued this tradition as her sons and grandsons carried on the farming life. She enjoyed sewing, raising plants of all types, searching for new recipes, and reading magazines and newspapers. She needed no effort to be positive. She always had a positive word for anyone she spoke with, namely her children and their spouses, her grandchildren and their friends, and her great grandchildren. Whether it was a special event, a sporting event, a school function, or just a day in life, they could always depend on positive insight to an upcoming task. She always saw the silver lining in any moment, and she could always see hope by using words of calming courage. Her first love was for her family and friends. She always looked forward to seeing each family member arrive at her kitchen table or her patio, and she never stopped offering food and love. Concerning her friends, she enjoyed sipping coffee during a relaxing visit to discuss the latest happenings of the week, and she gave the utmost loyalty to her family and friends. A better friend than Pauline cannot be found. Her second love was her joy in making Pink Cookies from strawberry cake mix. At any given time, she was offering to make her Pink Cookies for you to enjoy and share with others. She sometimes made cookies that varied from the pink cake mix recipe, but her all-time favorite was pink. She is forever pink. Her positivity was passed down to her sons who continued the family farm tradition and her daughter who has been teaching at Crowley High for many years. In addition, she has passed her positive outlook on life to her grandsons and great granddaughters in their future lives and careers. Her gentle, selfless spirit and her loving devotion will be greatly missed. Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Cope and husband Lance of Branch, two sons, Charles Reiners and wife Shelly of Branch, Pat Reiners and wife Stephanie of Crowley, eight grandchildren, Cole Reiners and wife Hillary, Clint Reiners and wife Grace, Jake Reiners and fiancé Gracien Bellard, Hayden Reiners and fiancé Emily Zaunbrecher, Collin Reiners, Clay Cope, Britton Cope, and Andrew Cope, and two great grandchildren, Parker Kate and Emerson Claire Reiners. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Anthony "Stoon" Francis Reiners, her parents, John Henry Habetz and Elizabeth Kreuser Habetz, one sister, Hilda Habetz Simoneaux and husband Jerome, and one brother, Philip Habetz and wife Delores Zaunbrecher Habetz. The Reiners family would like to give a special thanks to all of her caregivers, Dr. Katira and Dr. Sanai, and the nursing staff of Acadia General Hospital. The family requested that donations could be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata, St. Michael Elementary School in Crowley, Rayne Catholic Elementary in Rayne and Notre Dame High School in Crowley.
