Michael John Cramer Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 2:00 pm at a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leo IV Catholic Church in Roberts Cove, LA, for Michael John Cramer, 76, who died Friday, March 10, 2023 at his residence. Interment will be in the St. Leo IV Cemetery in Rayne, LA. Fr. Mark Kramer of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Michael was a very devoted and loving husband, father, and friend. He worked his entire life to make sure his family was provided for. He was a member of St. Leo IV Catholic Church in Roberts Cove and a devoted member of the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed going to yearly men's retreats, returning with Valentine candy for the kids. He made sure that everyone knew he had been married to his beloved wife, Yvonne Cramer, for 57 years. Michael dedicated the majority of his life to farming and raising a family, which consists of five kids, sixteen grandkids, and one great grandkid. May he rest in peace eternally with Yvonne and baby Michael. God bless his soul. Survivors include three daughters, Connie Cramer Melzer and spouse Chris Melzer, Lisa Cramer, Angela Cramer, two sons, Chad Cramer and spouse Sherry Cramer, Fred Cramer and spouse Catherine Cramer, sixteen grandchildren, Jonathon Coats, Emily Coats, Mikie Coats, Burton Coats, Lauren Cramer, Paige Cramer, Ian Cramer, Cody Melzer, Anna Claire Melzer, Eli Melzer, Gabriel Cramer, William Cramer, Frederick Cramer, II, Caroline Cramer, Lily Gauthier, Jared Cramer, great-grandchild, Brooklyn Coats, four sisters, Barbara Cramer DuBose, Bernadette Cramer Guidry and spouse Douglas Guidry, Theresa Cramer Doucet, Loretta Cramer Boudreaux, brother, Anthony Cramer and spouse Rhena Cramer, sister-in-law, Catherine Cramer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Prather Cramer, son, Michael Cramer, II, father, Jacob Cramer, mother, Mary Magdelena Habetz Cramer, three sisters, Sister Clara Cramer, O Carm, Alberta Cramer Hebert and spouse Leland Hebert, Angelina Cramer Gonthier and spouse Ralph Gonthier, brother, Leonard "Jake" Cramer, three brothers-in-law, Stephen Dubose, Lawrence Doucet, Glenn Boudreaux. A Rosary will be prayed on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 7:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm.
