Mable Marie Guidry Rayne - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. for Mable Marie Guidry, 77 who died Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Lafayette. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA. Surviving are her husband of 58 years Harry Guidry; children, Penny Mire and husband Larry of Colorado, Joy O'Brien and husband Eugene of Rayne, Mark Guidry and wife Tina of Kentucky, Angie Scopes and husband Dan of Youngsville, June Guidry of Lafayette and Julie Guidry of Lafayette; 12 grandchildren, Alette Romero, Marcus Guidry, Ryan O'Brien, Lynn Mire, Fallon Guidry, Jamie Mire, Jacob O'Brien, Mecus Guidry, Amber Scopes, Maranda Scopes, Chad Romero and Brandi O'Brien; 5 great grandchildren Ali Romero, Chase Romero, Madison Romero, Piper O'Brien and Mila Mendoza; brother, Gilbert Moore and wife Ethel of Lake Charles; sister, Viola Roy of Rayne; sister-in-laws Virgina Pomier of Scott and Rose Moore of Texas; aunt, Lena Alleman of Lafayette and numorous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Moore and Aline Menard Moore; mother-in-law Blanche Guidry; step mother Matilda Moore; four brothers Wallace Moore, Lynn Moore, Waddy Moore and William "Bill" Moore. She was born Saturday, September 15, 1934 in Rayne, LA, Daughter of the late Willie Moore and the late Aline Menard. She was very involved with St. Anne's Catholic Churck in Youngsville. She was active as a Eucharistic Minister, served with the Lady's Alter Society and was a chair person on their Holiday Decorating Committee. She was also very involved in her subdivion association. She was chair person of the Gardening Committee and always helped when she could on all events. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, passing down her legacy through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed baking cookies and cakes for her family. She touched many peoples lives with her smile and love of life! Friends will be received from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Friday, October 14, and 8:00 A.M. until Services Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Pallbeares will be her grandsons Marcus Guidry, Ryan O'Brien, Lynn Mire, Jamie Mire, Jacob O'Brien and Mecus Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Moore, Gilford Moore, Jim Coin, Todd Moore, Lyle Moore, Larry Mire, Eugene O'Brien and Dan Scopes.
