Leewood Jude LeBlanc Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025 at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church in Duson, LA, for Leewood Jude LeBlanc, 87, who died Friday, October 17, 2025. Interment will be in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Mausoleum in Mire, LA. Father Nicholas Dupre, Pastor of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Leewood worked for LADOTD for 30 years and retired at the age of 48. He was a member of FFA during high school, NRA, and usher for many years at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Duson. Even though he retired at a young age, he continued working by helping family and friends bale hay, vegetable gardening, and mowing grass. Survivors include his wife, Nell Rose Stelly LeBlanc, daughter, Denise LeBlanc Darby and spouse Charles Darby, grandchild, Andres Darby, sister, Emma Duhon, sisters-in-law, Shirleen Domingue LeBlanc, Marita Moody and spouse Dr. Edward Moody, II, brothers-in-law, Mason Stelly and companion, Liz Bergeron, Elvin Stelly and spouse Angela Stelly, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd LeBlanc, mother, Lelia Mire LeBlanc, brother, Patrick LeBlanc, sister-in-law, Gloria Stelly, brother-in-law, James Duhon, in-laws, Nelson Stelly and spouse Rosa Hanks Stelly. Pallbearers will be Lane LeBlanc, Dwight Duhon, Nicholas Fuselier, Charles Darby, Andres Darby and Dr. Edward Moody, III. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris LeBlanc, Mason Stelly, Elvin Stelly and Dr. Edward Moody, II. A Rosary will be led by Zachary Fuselier and Jacob LeBlanc on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 6:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Monday, October 20, 2025 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.
