Karen Pousson Leonards Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at a 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leo IV Catholic Church in Roberts Cove, LA, for Karen Pousson Leonards, 59, who died Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at her residence in Roberts Cove. Interment will be in the St. Leo IV Cemetery in Roberts Cove. Fr. Mitchell Guidry, Pastor of St. Leo IV Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Karen was a loving wife, mother and very proud "Oma". She was gifted with a compassionate heart with love and loyalty for her family, friends and most of all her faith. She was an avid Notre Dame Pioneers and LSU Tiger fan! She also loved flowers and her garden. She was in the banking industry at Rayne State Bank for over 38 years. Karen was a St. Leo IV Church Lector and a member of St. Leo IV Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters Court #2168, Roberts Cove Germanfest, Acadia Parish 4H Volunteer, and many school and community activities. Survivors include her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Leonards, Jr., two sons, John Raymond Leonards and spouse Lara Leonards, Philip James Leonards and companion Adrienne Andrus, father, Shelton Pousson, four grandchildren, John William Leonards, David Leonards, Paul Leonards, Hans Leonards, sister, Shelley Prejean and spouse Scotty Prejean, special uncle, Dale Pousson, aunt & godmother, Cherlyn "Sis" Pousson, godfather, Hayes Pousson, Jr., brother-in-law, Lynn Hebert, five sisters-in-law, Sheryl L. Venable and spouse Kurt Venable, Velma L. Faul and spouse Terry Faul, Donna L. Spaetgens and spouse Henry "Bubba" Spaetgens, Marietta Leonards, Stephanie Leonards, two brothers-in-law, Glenn Leonards, Todd Leonards and spouse Priscilla Leonards. She was preceded in death by mother, Betty Sensat Pousson, sister, Donna Hebert, her special in-laws, Gerald and Shirley Nickel Leonards, paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Irvin Pousson, maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Rufus Sensat. A Rosary will be prayed Friday, July 21, 2023, at 7:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home on Friday July 21, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm and on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
