John Weber Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at a 3:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for John Weber, 93, who died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Emergency Center in Scott, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne, LA. Rev. Clint Trahan, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Barre, LA will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Readers will be granddaughters, Karlie Weber and Jenny Ezekiel. Giftbearers will be grandsons, Seth Gauthier and John Ezekiel. Mr. Weber was a Sergeant in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He also served as an Honor Guard for General Douglas MacArthur. He was retired from Texas Eastern Oil and Gas Company. He enjoyed being a bee keeper and working in his garden. Survivors include his five children, Charlotte Gauthier and spouse Paul of Rayne, Alfred Weber of Orleans, France, Susan Ezekiel and spouse Michael of Rayne, Karl Weber and spouse Rhonda of Rayne, Raphael Meche of Rayne, nine grandchildren, Seth Gauthier, Jenny Ezekiel, John Ezekiel, Karlie Weber, Hollie Weber, Aladji Weber, Stacy Schexnayder, Barry Meche, Natalie Lagneaux, eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by wife, Helen Brasseaux Weber, father, Alfred Joseph Weber, mother, Euphemie Credeur Weber, one brother, Wilson Weber, one daughter-in-law, Ann Meche, one great grandchild, Baby Lagneaux. Pallbearers will be Paul Gauthier, Seth Gauthier, Michael Ezekiel, John Ezekiel, John Hebert, Elmer Melancon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Raphael Meche, Alfred Weber and Greg Prather. A Rosary will be prayed Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 1:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne LA.
