Jesse Luke Forman Lafayette, LA - We lost our beloved Jesse Luke Forman, Thursday, October 12, 2017. He had recently been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer after apparently having had said disease for several years. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm Graveside Service at Fountain Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lafayette, LA for Jesse Luke Forman, 79. Interment will be in the Fountain Memorial Gardens in Lafayette, LA. Pastor Weldon Moak of First Baptist Church in Broussard will conduct the funeral services. Jesse was born January 25, 1938 in Gilbert, LA. He spent his early years in Bremerton, WA and Forest Hill, LA. After graduation from McNeese State University, he served in the US Army as First Lieutenant and exited with honorable discharge from Fort Lewis, WA. He lived most of his life in LAfayette, LA but as an oilfield manager he enjoyed stays in Bakersfield, CA, Casper, WY, Corpus Christi, TX, and New Orleans, LA. Jesse enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved fishing especially with Louisiana Oilmen's Bass Club. He also enjoyed country music, traveling and both golf and hunting in his earlier years. Leaving behind with many loving memories his wife, Judith Wesson O'Neal Forman, son, Dirk B. Forman and wife Donna S. Forman, daughter, Stacy F. Gillikin and husband Doug Gillikin, daughter, Karen O'Neal, son James Darrin O'Neal and wife Amy, son, Sean Kevin O'Neal and wife Lori. His grandchildren all of whom he adored, Jude M. Digilormo, Ross J. and Nicholas L. Forman, Kelly Lanoux and husband Phillip Harris, James Lanoux and wife Felice, Fay Lanoux, Christopher Lanoux, Katherine O'Neal, Riley O'Neal, Seana O'Neal, Brendan O'Neal, Tanner O'Neal. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, sister, Joyce Longo. sister in law, Pam W. Carson and husband Raymond, brother in law, Jerry Wesson and wife Carolyn, Jesse also had 2 very special people who he claimed as brothers, Bob Smith, and Jerry L. Wesson. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lee Forman and Maggie Lee Peyton Forman, mother of his children, Barbara Penny Forman, brothers, Brian Forman, Richard Forman, Charles Forman, sisters, Catherine Glass, Willie Mae Atkinson. The family will be greeting friends at Fountain Memorial Garden Cemetery, located at 1010 Pandora St., Lafayette, LA 70506 on Saturday October 21, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
