Jasper Paul Johnson Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Thursday, September 10, 2015 at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial for Jasper Paul Johnson , 93, who died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at residence in Rayne, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum, Rayne, LA. Reverend Kevin Bordelon, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services, and Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be the con-celebrant. Altar serve will be Daniel Johnson. Readers will be Karris Johnson Toups and Beth Goins. Surviving are wife, Matilda Theunissen Johnson of Rayne, three sons, Kenneth D. Johnson and wife Jennie, Albert M. Johnson and wife Bonnie, Edward J. Johnson and wife Amy all of Rayne, three daughters, Helen Marie Johnson of Scott, Brenda Hooper of Rayne, Mary Comeaux and husband Jay of Rayne, one sister, Iola Leger of Lafayette, one brother, Tom Johnson and wife Cassie of Rayne. He was preceded in death by father, Thomas Johnson, Sr., mother, Marie Prejean Johnson, one infant daughter, Matilda Johnson, three sisters, two brothers, one grandson-in-law, Jed Toups. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Rayne, LA, and the American Legion in Rayne, LA.. He worked as a Banker for Rayne State Bank in Rayne, LA. A rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus of Rayne on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, LA. Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Wednesday, September 9, 2015, 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Thursday, September 10, 2015, 7:00 am until 9:30. Pallbearers will be he grandsons, Steven Johnson, Chase Bingham, Michael Johnson, Tim Johnson, Brandon Hooper, and Blaine Hooper. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Thomas Johnson, and Jasper Paul Johnson, II.
