Gerald “Gabe” Alleman Rayne, LA – Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Gerald “Gabe” Alleman, age 77, who passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery #2 Mausoleum in Rayne. Very Rev. Brent L. Smith, V.F., Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will be the celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the services. Gabe was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served his country with honor and dedication. Alongside his beloved wife, Burnella, he co-founded Gabe’s Cajun Restaurant, a place that reflected their shared passion, perseverance, and hospitality. Gabe found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, playing pool, and sharing stories and laughter with those around him. Above all else, Gabe cherished time spent with his family. They were the center of his world, and his love, guidance, and presence will forever remain in their hearts. Gabe is survived by his beloved wife, Burnella Dupuis Alleman; his son, Blake Alleman and companion Dorothy; his daughters, Jessica Alleman Stelly and husband Tim, Rachael Alleman, and Ashley Alleman Whitehead and husband Samuel; grandchildren, Shelli Alleman, Clare Alleman, Erick Alleman, Noah Badon, Jaden Credeur, and Peyton Credeur; great-grandchildren, Elise Trahan and Demi Senegal; and his sister, Judy Leger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysee and Josette Broussard Alleman; his sister, Patsy Alleman; and his brothers, Clifton Alleman, Merlin Alleman, Elie Alleman, Roy Alleman, Kermit Alleman, and Earnest Alleman. Pallbearers will be Samuel Whitehead, Noah Badon, Erick Alleman, Jaden Credeur, Timmy Stelly, and Randy Alleman. A Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
