Dana Nicole Faul Hernandez "Nanny" Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at a 2:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Dana Nicole Faul Hernandez "Nanny", 52, who died Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at her residence in Rayne, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne, LA. Rev. Bret Lee, Parochial Vicar of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Dana lived a life full of adventure, joy, and unapologetic honesty. She loved traveling and taking cruises with her husband, Sammy, always finding excitement in new places and shared experiences. Her passion for Cajun cooking wasn’t just a hobby - it was a gift she passed on to Sammy, teaching him the flavors, traditions, and love behind every dish. She had a natural talent for crafting - creating beautiful things with her hands, pouring patience and creativity into diamond art and countless handmade projects. Spoiling her nieces and nephews came just as naturally; she adored them deeply and made sure they always felt loved. For 18 years, Dana was happily bossed around by her beloved fur baby, Olivia, who brought her constant companionship, laughter, and comfort. Dana was the kind of woman who spoke her mind without sugarcoating a thing - honest, direct, and real. Yet she balanced that strength with kindness, warmth, and a loving heart that touched everyone around her. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Sammy Hernandez, parents, Joseph Alvin Faul and Linda Credeur Faul, two siblings, David Faul and spouse Nikki Faul, Tricia Faul Comeaux and spouse Derick Comeaux, father in law, Abel Hernandez, nieces and nephews, Naomie Carrier (godchild), Laisa Faul, Marae Faul, Rylee Comeaux, Grant Comeaux (godchild), Kara Hernandez, Lily Hernandez, Abel Hernandez, Layla Hernandez, Ava Hernandez (godchild), Amber Melancon (godchild), Damion Edwards, Jr. (godchild). She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Bennett and Bernice Credeur, paternal grandparents, Maurice and Lucille Faul, mother in law, Sherry Hernandez, brother in law, Antoine Hernandez, godparent, Harry Credeur, fur baby, Olivia of 18 years, niece, Khloe Faul. Pallbearers will be David Faul, David Anderson, Donnie Nero, Damion Edwards, Sr., Abel Hernandez, Mark Carrier, Grant Comeaux, and Derick Comeaux. A Rosary will be prayed Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 6:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm.
