Carolyn Rose Roy Allemond Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 11:00 am at Ebenezer Church of the Nazarene in Indian Bayou, LA for Carolyn Rose Roy Allemond, 83, who died Thursday, April 25, 2024, at her residence. Interment will be in the Indian Bayou Cemetery in Rayne, LA. Pastor Barry Stephens of Ebenezer Church of the Nazarene will conduct the funeral services. Carolyn Rose was a loving, devoted and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to many. Carolyn's greatest joy was cooking for her children, family and friends. She will be remembered for her fun, loving, generous and kind spirit, her awesome decorating skills, her love of flowers and gardening, and for cooking her incredible Cajun meals. Carolyn loved Jesus, her church and her Sunday School Class and friends. Survivors include her two daughters, Denise Hayes Barzare and spouse Danny Barzare, Keena Hayes, son, Ricky Hayes and spouse Mary Hayes, stepson, Scott Allemond and companion Melanie Courville, three grandchildren, Richie Hayes, Shantel Hayes, Carrie Grace Romero, three great grandchildren, Grayson Roy, Logan Taylor, Annalize Rose Romero, two brothers, Ronald Roy and companion Carol Winn, Russell Roy and spouse Anna Roy, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Allemond, father, Claude Joseph Roy, mother, Carrie Brasseaux Roy, sister, Geraldine Roy Guidry. Pallbearers will be Ricky Hayes, Danny Barzare, Richie Hayes, Grayson Roy, Mark Hollier and Ryan Roy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Shantel Hayes, Carrie Grace Romero and Logan Taylor. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Ebenezer Church of the Nazarene from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. Carolyn's children would like to thank Hope Hospice - Kelli, Angela and Pastor Todd; Leading Home Care - Lindsey and Joy; and Carolyn's many caregivers - her daughter-in-law, Mary, her granddaughter, Carrie Grace, Katlin, Tracie, Rhonda and Samantha for all of your care, love, kindness and support given to our mother during her long dementia journey.
