William "Dub" Frederick Laurents

William "Dub" Frederick Laurents Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for William "Dub" Frederick Laurents, 97, who died Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his residence in Rayne, LA. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley, LA. Assistant Pastor Don Stanford with Roberts Cove Church of Christ in Roberts Cove will conduct the funeral services. Mr. Dub served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. He was a member the VFW and American Legion Post 77 in Rayne. He received Philippine Liberation Ribbon and Asiatic Pacific Ribbon. He worked for Western Union as a Wire Chief. Survivors include two daughters, Beth Laurents Trahan, Susan Laurents Trudel, two sons, Frederick Laurents and spouse Kathy, Stewart Laurents and spouse Jackie, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, brother, Glen Laurents. He was preceded in death by wife, Olita J. Laurents, one son, Gregory C. Laurents, one grandson, Maurice Laurents, one great grandchild, Aaron Trahan, father, Curley Carl Laurents, mother, Nora Lee Hoffpauir Laurents, two sisters, Ruth Laurents Boudreaux, Nora Laurents LeBlanc, two brothers, H.J. "DeeDee" Laurents, Carl Laurents, one son in law, Conny Trahan. Pallbearers will be Keith Trahan, Shane Laurents, Cameron Laurents, James Laurents, Eric Fontenot, and Randal LeBlanc, Honorary pallbearers will Frederick Laurents and Stewart Laurents. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
