Louise Gertrude Habetz Meche Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Louise Gertrude Habetz Meche, 83, who died Monday, January 17, 2022 at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne, LA. Deacon Denis LaCroix with St. Joseph Catholic Church will conduct the funeral services. Mrs. Meche was retired from Rayne Building & Loan after 30+ years and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court Rayne for 30 years. She loved gardening and working in her flower beds. Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Meche and companion Chris Dupuis, her dog she loved, Max, five siblings, Edward J. Habetz and spouse Marlene, Margaret Habetz Bouillion, Daniel Habetz and spouse Judy, Gerhard R. Habetz and spouse Gloria, Charles H. Habetz and spouse Pattie, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Wade Meche, parents, Leonard August Habetz and Annie Gesina Cramer Habetz, two sisters, Rose Marie Habetz, Geraldine Ann Habetz Trahan and spouse Sherman, and a brother, Robert John Habetz. Pallbearers will be Daniel Habetz, Gerhard Habetz, Clyde Bouillion, Ira Pryor, Nicholas Pryor and Myles Pryor, Milton Habetz. Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Habetz, Charles Habetz, Kevin Habetz, David Bouillion and Van Vanicor II. A Rosary will be prayed Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 12:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm.
