Gerard "Jerry" Arceneaux Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at a 2:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Gerard "Jerry" Arceneaux, 80, who died Monday, March 7, 2022 at Oschner Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne, LA. Fr. Brent Smith, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his three daughters, Cheryl Bauer, Trina Arceneaux, Sara Cary and spouse Garet, four sons, Troy Arceneaux and spouse Teryl, Mark Arceneaux, Lance Arceneaux and spouse Grady, Timothy Arceneaux and spouse Allison, 22 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Mona Stutes, Barbara Rue, Debbie Arceneaux, brother, John "Piggy" Arceneaux, aunt, Vivian Faul, brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Rhena Cramer, brother and sister-in-law, Keith Vienne and Mona Vienne, brother-in-law, Dean Vienne and brother-in-law, Bradley Breaux. He was preceded in death by his wife, Franciska "Frankie" Vienne Arceneaux, grandson, Aaron Arceneaux, son-in-law, Joey Bauer, father, Elton Arceneaux, Sr., mother, Eunice Chaisson Arceneaux, brother, Elton Arceneaux, Jr., sister, Elaine Plattsmier, father and mother-in-law, Frank and Camilla Vienne, three sisters-in-law, Sheila Breaux, Susan Vienne and Linda Arceneaux, two brothers-in-law, Donald Stutes and Ronnie Rue. Jerry was a City of Rayne Councilman for 20 years and a member of the YMBC, Lions Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm.
