Roy Joseph "Bud" Thibodeaux, Jr. Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, May 16, 2016 at 3:00 pm for Roy Joseph Thibodeaux, Jr., 82, who pasted away Friday, May 13, 2016 in Rayne Guest Home surrounded by his family. He was a long time resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA. Surviving are two son, Paul Edmond Thibodeaux of Dallas, Tx, Jon Andre Thibodeaux of Fort Lauderdale, FL, six grandchildren, Brittany Aline Thibodeaux, Christopher Michael Dupin, Jonathan Joseph Dupin, Evan Tyler Thibodeaux, Annabelle Michelle Thibodeaux, Bradley Braun Thibodeaux, two sisters, Ruth Thibodeaux McBride and husband Warren, Linda Thibodeaux McDaniel and husband Terry, two nieces, Katie McBride Lalande, Lisa McBride Mooney, four nephews, Bryan McBride, Carl McBride, Jude Boudreaux, Todd Boudreaux. He was preceded in death by one son, Pierre Antoine Thibodeaux, three daughters, Michelle Thibodeaux Mancheter, Collette Yvonne Thibodeaux, Monique Jeanne Thibodeaux, mother of his children, Aline Privat Thibodeaux, parents, Roy Joseph Thibodeaux, Sr. and Adeline Fisette Thibodeaux. Bud, as he was known by all his family and friends, was born March 11, 1934 in Duson, LA. He attended Duson Elementary until high school years where he graduated from St. Stanislaus, a college preparatory boarding school, in Bay St. Louis, MS. He enlisted in the United States Air Force for 4 years at the age of 22 and was stationed in Lakeland Air Force Base in Pleasanton, CA. After completing his 4 years of service from the Air Force he entered and graduated from University of Southwest Louisiana as a Civil Engineer. He worked for Bernard and Burke, started his owned business Livic Engineering, and then went to work for the State of Louisiana DOTD. After retiring he enjoyed spending time with his family, working in his yard, loving his cat "Henry Barousse", going to garage sales. A rosary will be recited Monday, May 16, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, LA. Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA.
