Robert James Arceneaux Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne for Robert James Arceneaux, 66, who died Thursday, April 10, 2025 at The Ellington Nursing Home in Rayne, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne, LA. Deacon Denis LaCroix with St. Joseph Catholic Church will conduct the funeral services. Rob loved life and loved his family and friends unconditionally. He lived in various living facilities throughout his life, making friends and spreading his love, smile and affection throughout. He loved French music (especially Hew Haw), hamburgers, French fries, cokes and ice cream. Love basketball, participated in the Special Olympics basketball throw. Love to dance and listen to his portable radio. He enjoyed life in a cheerful and spirited way... teaching us "Joie de Vivre" The family would like thank The Ellington and its staff for all the great care he received during his stay. All the doctors of the Acadiana Family Practice, especially Dr. Curtis, his primary physician and all of our friends and family who prayed for Rob's well-being. Survivors include two sisters, Janice Arceneaux Cart, Paula Arceneaux Doucet and spouse David Doucet, two brothers, Harold Arceneaux and spouse Mona Arceneaux, Kem Arceneaux and spouse Peggy Arceneaux, six nieces, Monica Cradeur and spouse Shaun, Claire Doucet, Erin Doucet, Sarah Doucet, Erika Henry, Kriston Arceneaux, five nephews, Christopher Comeaux, Lance Arceneaux, Mathieu Doucet, Devon Arceneaux, Kyle Arceneaux, eleven great nieces, Kelsey, Zoe, Gracie, Kirston, Khloe, Cadeley, Everley, Scarlett Jane, Whitney, Haley, Kodi Rose, five great nephew, Wyatt, Brantley, Wes, Jeremiah, Noah, four great great nieces, Norie Jane, Emma, Mary Helen Addisyn, one great nephew, Thomas. He was preceded in death by parents, Earon Arceneaux and Verdie Breaux Arceneaux, two brothers, Carrol James Arceneaux, Keith Anthony "Zig Zag" Arceneaux, brother-in-law, Fred Cart, nephew, Jackson Drake. Pallbearers will be Kem Arceneaux, Harold Arceneaux, Mathieu Doucet, Christopher Comeaux, Kyle Arceneaux, Devon Arceneaux. A Rosary will be prayed Monday, April 14, 2025 at 12:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA.
