Percy Paul Logan, Jr. Branch, LA - Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Percy Paul Logan, Jr. He gained his heavenly wings on July 5, 2022 at the rich age of 67 in Houston, TX. Pastor Dexter Harmon will conduct the memorial services. Mr. Percy Paul Logan Jr. was born on December 30, 1954 in Beaumont, TX to the late Percy Paul Logan Sr. and Gustavia Stevenson. Percy spent most of his young life in Beaumont, TX and later moved to Rayne, LA where he attended and graduated from Rayne High School. He enlisted into the United States Navy and served as a Seabee Utility Operator. After serving a tour in Vietnam, he received an honorable discharge from the United States Navy. Percy was a hardworking man and he enjoyed the fruits of his labor. He was a certified electrician, received his certification as a fire fighter from LSUE, and served as a Plant operator at Union Texas Petroleum for 19 years. Percy had a big heart. He loved greatly, he loved with agape love. He loved his family and taught his family to love one another. He always had a loving nickname for his children, grand-children and those he loved so dear. He loved working with his hands and always willing to lend a hand to help family, friends and the community. He was an amazing cook. He fed everyone, whether it was a meal, great advice, or a piece of historical knowledge. Percy had a lot of hobbies: camping, martial arts, listening to music, playing his guitar, cooking, watching Sci-fi T.V., and being outdoors. Percy leaves to cherish his beautiful memories of his five children, Christopher Logan and spouse Tammie Logan, Shawn Logan, Dawn Logan, Perry Logan, Aaron Logan and spouse Whitney Logan, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Percy Logan Sr., his mother, Gustavia Stevenson, his grandmother, Octavia Stevenson, mother of his children, Barbara Wiltz-Logan, and two grandchildren, Josiah and Liam. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
