Nathan Isaac Mouton Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Nathan Isaac Mouton, 65, who died Monday, February 5, 2024, at his residence in Rayne. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne, LA. Pastor Cedric Sonnier of St. Mary Mother of the Church in Lafayette will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass with Very Rev. Brent L. Smith, VF of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Con-Celebrant, and Deacon Denis LaCroix assisting in the funeral services. Nathan was a beloved pharmacist and owner of Mouton Pharmacy in Rayne. He was a 1976 graduate of Rayne High School and graduated from USL with a Bachelor of Science degree then ULM in Pharmacy. He was active in the community and held memberships in several organizations including the St. Joseph Choir, Eucharistic Minister, Our Lady of the Oaks Retreat Captain, Volunteer for St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rayne Lions Club, RCAF Member, Rayne Catholic Elementary and Notre Dame High School Board Member and was honored with being named "Pharmacist of the Year". Nathan was an avid UL fan, loved to play golf and was a talented fiddle player who enjoyed playing with several different bands. He was generous, kind and loved by all. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sheila Breaux Mouton, two sons, Andrew Mouton and spouse Dayna Guidry Mouton, Jacob Mouton and spouse Kimberly C. Mouton, daughter, Claire Mouton Dore and spouse Dylan Dore, five grandchildren, Jack Mouton, Drew Mouton, Catherine Mouton, Noah Mouton, Jase Mouton, mother, Dorothy Domingue Mouton, three sisters, Mary Mouton Terro, Ann Mouton Savoy and spouse Gaynol Savoy, Louise Mouton Vidrine and spouse Cody Vidrine, two brothers, Paul Mouton and spouse Sharisse Mouton, Raymond Mouton and spouse Sherry Mouton, three sisters-in-law, Joan Leonards Mouton, Pauline Breaux Gilbert and spouse Daniel Gilbert, Ruth Breaux Porrier and spouse Troy Porrier, brother-in-law, Dwayne Breaux and spouse Becky Breaux. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Nathan Mouton, brother, John U. Mouton, paternal grandparents, Nathan and May Mouton, maternal grandparents, Isaac and Mabel Domingue, in-laws, Roland Anthony Breaux and Mary Grace Breaux. Pallbearers will be Paul Mouton, Raymond Mouton, Daniel Gilbert, Gaynol Savoy, Gregory Savoy and Cody Vidrine. A Cursillo Rosary will be led by the Cursillistas on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 6:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
