Merlin "Jack" Guidry Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Merlin "Jack" Guidry, 85, who died Monday, October 21, 2024 at his residence in Rayne, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne, LA. Very Rev. Brent L. Smith, VF, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Readers for the Mass will be his great granddaughters, Kaylee Schexnayder and Keelyn Foreman. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Grace Marie Lejeune Guidry, three daughters, Jeanette Guidry Bearb, Lisa Guidry Alleman and spouse Keith Alleman, Joy Guidry Schexnayder and spouse Lender Schexnayder, one son, Benjamin Jack Guidry and spouse Devan Guidry, two sisters, Joyce Guidry Spell, Patsy Guidry Brice and spouse John Brice, two sisters in law, Mary Guidry, Vera Guidry, eleven grandchildren, Corey, Amy (Dexter), Britney, Jordan (Whitney), Nathalie (Joshua), Lanie (Courtland), Joshua, Ella Grace, Jack, Henry, and Samuel, ten great grandchildren, Daelyn, Dexter Jr., Mari, Kaylee, Judah, Saul, Keelyn, Mason, Harper, and Danilynn. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Andrew Alleman, great grandchild, Kai Foreman, parents, Bertrand Guidry, Sr. and Elita Guidry, five brothers, JV Guidry, MB Guidry, Bertrand Guidry, Jr., Nelson Guidry, Rufus Guidry, three sisters, Mabel Guidry Simon, Theresa Guidry Simon, Mary Guidry Leger. Pallbearers will be Benjamin Guidry, Jack Guidry, Joshua Doucet, Courtland Istre, Dexter Daigle, Sr., Dexter Daigle, Jr., Joshua Schexnayder, and Jordan Bearb. Honorary Pallbearers will be Keith Alleman, and Lender Schexnayder A Rosary will be prayed Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 6:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA.
