Judy Ellen Sonnier Richard Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at an 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Judy Ellen Sonnier Richard, 79, who died Monday, December 25, 2023 at her residence in Rayne, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne, LA. Rev. Clint Trahan, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Parish in Port Barre will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include her husband, Darrell Richard, Sr. of Rayne, daughter, Denise Richard Brignac of Rayne, two sons, Michael "Shayne" Richard and spouse Angela Richard of Amarillo, TX, Kent Richard and spouse Angie Richard of Sunset, daughter-in-law, Terry Richard of Jackson, MS, ten grandchildren, Michael Richard and spouse Hope, Jordan Richard and spouse Taylor, Ethan Richard, Lara Russell and spouse Nick, Andrew Richard, Luke Richard, Matthew Richard, Tabitha Mayard and spouse Daniel, Kassie Richard, Zachery Richard, one step grandchild, Kassi Laughlin and spouse Jason, eight great-grandchildren, Sophia Richard, Anna Richard, Charlie Russell, Bodie Russell, Samuel Mayard, Henry Mayard, Ada Mayard, Vivian Mayard, two step great grandchildren, Riley Kaye Laughlin, Caroline Grace Laughlin, two sisters, Dean Sonnier Guillory of Phoenix, AZ, Rose Sonnier Landry of Lafayette, two brothers, Pat Sonnier and spouse Annie of Weatherford, TX, Tony Sonnier of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her son, Darrell "Bubba" Richard, Jr., son-in-law, Carson Brignac, parents, Forest Sonnier and Blanche Daigle Sonnier, one sister, Theresa Sonnier Thibodeaux and spouse Nelson, two brothers-in-law, Alden Guillory, B.J. Landry. A Rosary will be prayed Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 6:30 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm and on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am.
