Jaime Elisha Doucet Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne for Jaime Elisha Doucet 48, who died Saturday May 9, 2026 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX with her family at her side. Interment will be in the Indian Bayou Community Cemetery in Rayne, LA. Dr. James Pritchard with First Baptist Church in Lafayette, LA conduct the funeral services. Jaime was a true woman in all her femininity, from her pink lipstick to her French-tipped nails. A lover of all things Marilyn Monroe, she carried a timeless beauty and glamour that reflected her spirit perfectly. Beyond her beauty was the wonderful mother underneath it all. To know Jaime was to love her. The impression she left on everyone she met was everlasting. When people think of Jaime, they think of happiness, laughter, and a beautiful soul. Her spirit was infectious down to her core, and above all, she never changed herself for anyone she was unapologetically and beautifully who she was. Always devoted to God, her children, family, friends, and work life, Jaime spent seven years at Coastal Land Services as a petroleum landman, a career she truly loved along with the community she found within the office. Anyone who knew Jaime knew how deeply she loved her children. She would have laid down her life for the people she loved and never asked for anything in return. Her presence touched countless hearts, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her legacy, love, and beautiful heart continue to inspire and strengthen those whose lives she touched. Survivors include her four daughters, Alexis Klaire Meche, Aizlyn Rae Meche, Blakelyn Lane Meche, Baylee Elisha Meche, grandson, Roman James Arceneaux, her parents, Donald Doucet and Janice Thibodeaux Doucet, fiancé, Josh Lavergne, Josh's three children, Michael Lavergne, Avi Lavergne, Brantley Lavergne, sister, Meshee Doucet and spouse Richie Doucet, three nephews, Landon Doucet, Miles Doucet, Julien Doucet, niece, Ava Doucet, numerous aunts and uncles, numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Glenn Merton Thibodaeaux and Marlene Faye Rita Bezett Thibodeaux, paternal grandparents, Emick Doucet, Sr. and Evelina Moreau Doucet, three cousins, Christy Doucet Alleman, Aaron Doucet, Luke LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Grant Arceneaux, Michael Lavergne, Jake Guidry, Miles Doucet, Landon Doucet, and Julien Doucet. Honorary pallbearer will be Brantley Lavergne. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
