Iris Meche Boudreaux Rayne, - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at a 1:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Iris Meche Boudreaux, 96, who died Tuesday April 1, 2025, at The Ellington of Rayne. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Mausoleum in Rayne. Deacon Dennis LaCroix of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the funeral service. Iris dedicated over 50 years to the profession she loved, working as a hairdresser, where she touched the lives of many with her skill and warmth. Throughout her life, Iris and her beloved husband, Orise, embraced a variety of projects together, demonstrating their shared passion for hard work and creativity. Above all, Iris cherished her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, finding immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her love for them was evident in the care and attention she gave to each moment spent together. Iris will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Survivors include her three daughters, Barbara Boudreaux Galland of Rayne, Fabiene Boudreaux of Lafayette, and Marlene Boudreaux Quibodeaux and husband Ricky of Rayne; four sons, Kenneth and wife Pamela Boudreaux of Morgan City, Karl and wife Mary Boudreaux of Crowley, Mark and wife Alycia Boudreaux of New Iberia, and Todd Boudreaux of Rayne; 16 Grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, sister in law, Nell and husband James Boudreaux of Morgan City, her sister, Benita Bergeron of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by husband, Orise Boudreaux, father, Louis Meche, mother, Beatrice Bergeron Meche, her in-laws, Louis and Clemence Boudreaux, her sisters, Ella Meche Gary and husband Wilbert, Onera Brasseaux and husband Ervin, her brother in law, Wayman Bergeron, three brothers, Lloyd Meche, Emery Meche, Melvin Meche, in laws, Rena and Reese Boudreaux, Gladys Bergeron and husband Laurace, Adam and Gertie Boudreaux, Fremence and Zora Boudreaux, and Lula and Seward Phillips. Pallbearers will be Craig Galland, Kiel Gray, Jace Galland, Ricky Quibodeaux II, Kenny Boudreaux Jr., and Seth Boudreaux. Honorary Pallbearer will be Neal Gary.
