Helena Broussard Richard Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM for Helena Broussard Richard, 88, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Edward Duhon, Pastor of Assumption Catholic Church, who will also conduct the funeral services. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery #2 Mausoleum in Rayne, LA. Helena passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at The Ellington Nursing Home in Rayne, surrounded by love and prayer. A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, Helena was known for her gentle spirit and kind heart. She lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. A woman of quiet strength and deep devotion, Helena began each morning with prayer and found comfort and joy in her spiritual life. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she nurtured her relationship with God and her community. Helena had a remarkable ability to create warmth and beauty in everything she did. Whether sewing by hand, caring for her garden of flowers, or preparing a Sunday lunch for her loved ones, her love was evident in every detail. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals and the laughter of family gathered close. Sundays, in particular, were sacred-an opportunity to nourish both body and soul, surrounded by those she loved most. Her legacy is one of faith, love, and unwavering positivity. Helena’s presence brought peace and encouragement to everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Clifford Richard, Jr.; daughters, Melody Daigle and husband Ronnie, and Ramona Wills and husband Nick; her son, Clyde Richard and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Devin Daigle, Hannah Labbie and husband Dale, Ashley Richard, Erika Benoit and husband Jeremiah, and Jordan Billiot; great-grandchildren, Laine Guidry, Bailee Guidry, Brody Wang, Sidnee Soeseno, Carter Labbie, Myles Labbie, Levi Benoit, and Reid Benoit; and step-great-grandchildren, Brooke Benoit, Mya Benoit, and Carolyn Willeford. She is also survived by her niece Cindy Broussard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Elia Richard Broussard, and her brother Clifford Broussard and his wife Dorothy, and her nephew Clifford Michael Broussard. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed at Gossen Funeral Home on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 2:30 PM.
