Gloria "Tootsie" "Glo" Breaux Sanchez Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 2:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, LA, for Gloria Breaux Sanchez, 72, who died Thursday, December 7, 2023, at The Carpenter House in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne, LA. Pastor Jeff Ables of Crossroads Church will conduct the funeral services. Born and raised in Rayne, Louisiana, Gloria was a proud graduate of Rayne High Class of 1969 (Go Wolves!). She loved researching the history of her family origins and all things Rayne. She served the people of Acadiana for numerous years as she worked at Adrian Vega Acadiana Dodge until her retirement in 2020. She also was the secretary of Breaux du Monte. She shared a special bond with her six sisters which was indeed a blessing. She had six best friends before ever starting grade school! Affectionately known as "Tootsie" or "Glo" by her close friends, classmates, and beloved "Ya-Ya" sisters, Gloria's warm and caring nature endeared her to everyone she knew. Gloria's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in her love and light. May she rest in eternal peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Gloria is survived by her son, Jonathan Sanchez and spouse Monique Hebert Sanchez, daughter Michelle Sanchez Jaqua and spouse Paul Jonathan Jaqua, five grandchildren, Marianna Louise Sanchez and Dominic Alexander Sanchez, Isaiah Paul Jaqua, Nessa Anais Jaqua, and Judah Michael Jaqua, four sisters, Audrey Miller, Roudel Meaux and spouse Raylin Rozas, Earline Miller, Linda Alleman and spouse Raylin Alleman, two godchildren, Peggy Credeur, Monica Devillier, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benton "Ban" and May Prejean Breaux, two sisters, Brunella Potier and spouse Dudley Potier, Bercie Alleman, brothers-in-law Raleigh Miller, Gerald Miller, two great nephews Jeremy Latiolais, Hayden Alleman and great niece Anais Alleman. Pallbearers will be Ryan Alleman, Dion Alleman, Jody Alleman, Kevin Potier, Edgar Credeur, and Wyatt Tate. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Sanchez, Paul Jaqua, Duane Potier, Ricky Meaux, Andrew Tate, and Ben Tate. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to The Carpenter House, St. Joseph Hospice, and every friend and family member who visited with her and comforted her children in the last weeks and days, especially her cousin, Michelle Des Jaques and her dear friend, Emelia Weldon.
