Gladys Eve Douet Garrie Rayne, LA - Funeral Services will be held on Monday, at 10:30 am at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Gladys Eve Douet Garrie, 71, who died Friday, April 9, 2021 at her daughter's home in Branch, LA. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette, LA. Rev. Benjamin Pitre, Proical Vicar of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, LA. will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include her two children, Pamela G. Kibodeaux and spouse Steve, Ronald W. "T-Ron" Garrie, Jr. and spouse MaKayla, five grandchildren, Cody Kibodeaux and spouse Abigail, MaKenzie Garrie, Lance Kibodeaux, Damon Garrie, Whitney Kibodeaux, eight siblings, Elizabeth "Liz" Savoie and spouse Michael, Thomas Douet and spouse Stephaine, Maurice Douet and spouse Sheryl, Hilda Broussard and spouse Chris,Timmy Douet and spouse Liz, Mary Daigle and spouse Donald, Diane Trahan and spouse Harold, Jerry Douet and spouse Jacquline "Jackie", Douet and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Wayne Garrie, Sr., father, Louis Douet Jr., mother, Verina Benton Douet, brother, Stephen Douet, sister, Vivian D. Granger, father in law and mother in law, Howard and Mazie Benton. We lost a very special woman/mother/grandmother/friend. A woman who loved riding horses and working along side her husband and son in construction for many years. She spent many days loving on and living for her 5 grandchildren whether it be just enjoying their company or following them to an assortment of activities they were involved in. Gladys was know by many for the years she worked at ABL bingo Ranch and the casinos in Duson. She will be deeply missed by so many. We would like to extend a special thank you to Joann McCall for being like a second daughter to her and bringing so many happy memories to her life. And to Elizabeth Savoie, the one we could always count on to help when needed as her health declined over the years. We love y’all. Pallbearers will be Ronald W. "T-Ron" Garrie, Jr., Damon Garrie, Steve Kibodeaux, Cody Kibodeaux, Lance Kibodeaux and Timmy Douet. Honorary pallbearers will be Makenzie Garrie, Whitney Kibodeaux A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA on Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Monday, April 12, 2021, from 8:00 am until the time of the funeral services.
