Gerald Paul Robin Duson, LA - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA for Gerald Paul Robin, 89, who died Monday, January 1, 2024, at 5:05 am at Magnolia Estate Nursing Home in Lafayette, LA. Gerald was born on January 18, 1934, to Wilson and Bernice Robin in Rayne, LA. After graduating from Rayne High School in 1952, he enlisted in the National Guard. He worked as a cementer for Halliburton until his retirement. Gerald was a kind and thoughtful person and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. Interment will be at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette, Louisiana. Glenn Naylor, son-in-law, will conduct the funeral services. Music will be provided by Robin Robin, daughter, and Abigail Naylor, granddaughter. Readings will be performed by granddaughters, Devin Primeaux and Heather Robin. Survivors include his son, Drake Robin and wife Marlene of Duson; two daughters, Jodie Naylor and husband Glenn, of West Monroe, LA and Robin Robin, of Duson; a brother, Wade Robin; nine grandchildren, Heather Robin Richard (Darrell), Jeremy Robin, Devin Primeaux, Ryan Robin (Renee), Justin Robin (Alanie), Tyler Robin (Taylor), Reid, Joel, and Abigail Naylor; sixteen great grandchildren, Brayden and Peyton Melancon, Rhylie and Rhykon Robin, Jayce and Jordan Comeaux, Gavin and Alyssa Richard, Aubrey Robin, Kyrsten Torres, Noah, Maylee, Beckham and Jaxon Robin, Justin and Dexter Robin, Kolt Breaux; one niece Kim DesJacques Bennett (Robert) and two nephews, Frankie DesJacques (Michelle) and Kevin Robin (Tammy). Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ann Robin, one granddaughter, Maci Anne Naylor; parents, Wilson and Bernice Robin, and one sister, Mona DesJacques; one sister-in-law, Patsy Robin and one brother-in-law, Jesse DesJacques. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Robin, Ryan Robin, Justin Robin, Tyler Robin, Reid Naylor, Joel Naylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gavin Richard, Justin and Dexter Robin, Kolt Breaux, Jayce Comeaux, Jordan Comeaux, Jaxon and Beckham Robin. A Rosary will be prayed Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 10:00 am in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA.
