Garrison Cole Gautreaux Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at a 3:30 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Garrison Cole Gautreaux, 17, who died Sunday, May 16, 2021 in Rayne, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne, LA. Rev. Sam Fontana and Rev. Kevin Bordelon will be the Celebrants of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Garrison was a Junior at Notre Dame High School Class of 2022, a member of the Notre Dame football and baseball teams, and a member of the Notre Dame 4-H Club. He loved hunting and fishing and being with his family and friends. Born into a family full of women, it is no surprise that from the very beginning of his life, Garrison was loved by the ladies. Having his mother's will and his daddy's heart, he was the perfect blend of determination and kindness and this was evident in every aspect of his life. He was a straight-forward young man, and even though his words were often few, they were always impactful. Garrison was the type of friend that you always wanted to have around. His inner joy always seemed to shine, even at times when others did not, and everyone loved him instantaneously. He never had a shortage of friends and family who wanted to spend time with him. Garrison will be painfully missed by all who knew him. He will be forever remembered for his quick wit, selfless love, and kind heart. He was his momma’s first boy and his daddy’s best friend and his memory will live on forever. Survivors include his parents, Raymond "Garrett" Gautreaux and Heather Roberts Gautreaux of Mire, sister, Dr. Lexie Lea Trosclair and spouse Dr. Daniel Core of Shreveport, brother, Jackson Joseph Gautreaux of Mire, paternal grandmother, Faye Hillard of Crowley, maternal grandparents, Joseph C. "Joe" and Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Roberts of Kaplan, three aunts, Monique Gautreaux of Mire, aunt/godmother, Scarlett Katie Roberts of Kaplan, and aunt Shelby Jo Roberts of Kaplan, three first cousins, Meagan Tesch and spouse Robert of Denham Springs, Blakley Schexnayder and fiance Conner Smith of Bridge City, TX, and Brodie Michael Bagwell of Kaplan, one second cousin, Halle Rae Tesch of Denham Springs, and godfather, Scott Anthony Stefanski of Crowley. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Raymond Gautreaux. Pallbearers will be Hudson LeBlanc, Jack Stefanski, Cole Shivers, Alex Stevens, Glenn Hunter, Zack Lamm, Adam Reiners, Andrew Habetz, John Eric Thomas, and Joe Frank. Honorary pallbearers will be the Notre Dame Junior class football players. A Rosary will be prayed Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 12:00 pm noon in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA.
