Florence Marie Hollier Brasseaux Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 12:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Florence Marie Hollier Brasseaux, 84, who died Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at The Ellington in Rayne, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne, LA. Deacon Denis Lacroix of St. Joseph Catholic Church will conduct the funeral services. Florence, better known as "Flo," was a beloved member of the Duson community. She and her devoted husband, Austin, were the proud owners of The Four Roses Tavern in Duson for many years where they welcomed friends old and new with warmth and hospitality. Flo had a vibrant spirit and a generous heart. She enjoyed the thrill of a good game at the casino, but she found even greater joy in giving back—volunteering her time at the St. Joseph Soup Kitchen where she served others with compassion and kindness. Above all, Flo cherished the moments spent with her family and friends whether gathered around a dinner table or sharing stories and laughter. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia and husband Jeff Atkinson, sons, Bobby and wife Lisa Cormier, and Glenn and wife Bennie Cormier, grandchildren, Jacob and wife McKenzie Atkinson, Kaysha and husband James Raggio, Bobby (T-Bob) and wife Sarah Cormier, Danette Cormier, great grandchildren, Parish Atkinson, Porter Atkinson, Jackson Raggio, Lillian Cormier, Thomas Cormier, Niko Schexnider, sisters, Velma Trahan, Joyce Guidry, brothers, Adolph and wife Brenda Broussard, Rudolph and wife Uanna Broussard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Brasseaux, parents Claude and Valarie Laviolette Hollier, brother, Chester Hollier, and father of her children, LeRoy (Nookie) Cormier. Pallbearers will be Bobby Cormier, Glenn Cormier, Jeff Atkinson, T-Bob Cormier, Jacob Atkinson, and James Raggio. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danette Cormier, Kaysha Raggio, Adolph Broussard, and Rudolph Broussard. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff of The Ellington and Hospice of Acadiana for their compassionate care, support, and kindness during this difficult time. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA.
