Dorothy "Dot" Ohlenforst Leger Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leo IV Catholic Church in Roberts Cove for Dorothy "Dot" Ohlenforst Leger, 92, who died Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in the St. Leo IV Cemetery in Roberts Cove, LA. Rev. Singarayar Arockiam, Pastor of St. Leo IV Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Music selections will be sung by the St. Leo Choir. Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Leger Doucet and spouse Malcolm, two sons, Mark Anthony Leger and spouse Debra, Wayne Joseph Leger and spouse Stephanie, sister, Bernadette Ohlenforst Monte and spouse Ronnie, brother, Joseph "Sonny" Ohlenforst and spouse Brenda, sister-in-law, Marcella L. Ohlenforst, nine grandchildren, Kimberly L. Mouton (Timmy), Matt Doucet (Annie Caillouet), Melissa D. Thibault, Marci D. McGovern, Mary Kathryn D. McGuffee (Matt), Maggie D. Racca (Lance), Amanda L. Sanders (Brandt), Samantha L. Kole (Hunter), William Leger (Ashley), 18 great grandchildren with one on the way, and one great great grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Fats" Leger, son, David Bernard Leger, grandson, Edward "Eddie" Leger, great grandson, Davis Thibault, grandson-in-law, Dave McGovern, father, Joseph Ohlenforst, mother, Walburga Thevis Ohlenforst, three sisters, Theresa Ohlenforst Simoneaux (Junior), Cecile Ohlenforst Bernard (Frank), Sister Margaret Mary Ohlenforst MHS, five brothers, Tommy Ohlenforst (Jackie), Andrew Ohlenforst, Fr. William Ohlenforst, Alois "Dutch" Ohlenforst (Mickie), and George Lawrence Ohlenforst. Pallbearers will be Mark Hensgens, Phillip Ohlenforst, Garland Hebert, William Leger, Matt Doucet and Owen Mouton. A Rosary will be prayed Friday, June 19, 2026 at 6:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.
