Clifford Richard, Jr Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 1:30 pm at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne, LA for Clifford Richard, Jr, 93, who died Sunday, January 4, 2026 at The Ellington Nursing Home in Rayne, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne, LA. Deacon Barry LeBlanc with St. Leo Catholic Church in Roberts Cove will conduct the funeral services. Cliff served in the United State Army form March 1953 to January 1955, He was a member of the American Legion in Rayne and Rayne Lyons Club. Clifford, affectionately known for his favorite saying, “the Situation,” was a man whose presence could light up any room. He truly never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t spoken to yet. With an easy smile and a gift for conversation, Clifford had a remarkable way of making people feel known and welcomed. Family was at the center of Clifford’s life. He often delighted in discovering connections between people, proudly saying that he could always find a relation between his family and yours. Whether by blood, marriage, or simple kindness, Clifford believed everyone was connected, and he lived that belief every day. Clifford legacy lives on in the countless friendships he formed and the family, both near and far, who will carry his memory forward. Survivors include two daughters, Melody Richard Daigle and spouse Ronnie Daigle, Ramona Richard Wills and spouse Nick Wills, one son, Clyde Richard and spouse Lisa Richard, five grandchildren, Devin Daigle, Hannah Labbie and spouse Dale Labbie, Ashley Richard, Erika Benoit and spouse Jeremiah Benoit, Jordan Billiot, eight great grandchildren, Laine Guidry, Bailee Guidry, Brody Wang, Sidnee Soeseno, Carter Labbie, Myles Labbie, Levi Benoit, Reid Benoit, great great grandchildren, Daxton Charles Breaux, three step grandchildren, Brooke Benoit, Mya Benoit, Carolyn Willeford. He was preceded in death by wife, Helena Broussard Richard, father, Clifford Richard, Sr., mother, Edna Benoit Richard, three brothers, Offord Richard, Errol Richard, Roderick Richard. Pallbearers will be Nick Wills, Clyde Richard, Jordan Billiot, Laine Guidry, Brody Wang, Dale Labbie, and Jeremiah Benoit. A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 11:00 am in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA.
