Bradley John "B.J." Comeaux Lafayette, LA - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA, for Bradley John "B.J." Comeaux, 53, who died Friday, February 2, 2024, at his residence in Lafayette. Inurnment will be at a later date in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne, LA. Pastor Linton Broussard of The Bayou Church in Lafayette, LA, will conduct the funeral services. Brad grew up in Rayne, LA. Being the youngest of six children, Brad was spoiled rotten by his older sisters and mom. As a young adult, he moved to Lafayette and became a dad to two amazing daughters, Skyler and Kennedi. His girls were his pride and joy, but his heart still had room for one more, his stepson, Cayden. Brad loved spending the weekends camping and if there was water nearby, you can bet he was trying to catch a fish. Brad never met a stranger. His quick wit and ability to turn anything into a joke was one of the reasons he was loved by so many. He also knew the way to people's hearts was through food so finding him standing over a pot cooking rice and gravy or gumbo was a guarantee. He even won first place at the Gumbo Cook-Off at his church. Early on in life, Brad realized his talent for carpentry work and spent his life with a hammer and tape measure always ready to build something. Later in his life, he was blessed with two beautiful grandchildren, Aubrie and Jaxon. Being a papa and spending time with them was what made Brad happy. Brad's infectious laugh and silly personality will be missed by all who loved him for just being himself. Survivors include two daughters, Skyler Comeaux Hollier and spouse Merle Hollier, Jr., Kennedi Comeaux, stepson, Cayden VanMatre, two grandchildren, Aubrie Hollier, Jaxon Hollier, mother of his daughters, Kristy Champagne, stepmother of his daughters, Jenn VanMatre, four sisters, Mona Campbell and spouse Ray Campbell, Katherine Castille and spouse Aubrey Castille, Gail Roy and partner Sidney Meche, Linda Bouillion and spouse Ronald Bouillion. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dovey Marie Comeaux, father, Wildy Paul Bourque, brother, Stacy "Pork Chop" Bourque.
