Betty Jane Vincent Nero Rayne, LA – Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Betty Jane Vincent, 68, who was born on February 5, 1957, and passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne, LA. Pastor Jonathan Moore of First Baptist Church of Rayne will be the Celebrant of the funeral services. Betty lived a life of faith and love. To know her was to know the love of Christ. She was, first and foremost, a strong believer in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith guided her steps, and her devotion to Him was evident in everything she did. Second only to her faith was her role as a mother and grandma. Her love for her family was unfailing, and her prayers and guidance will remain a lasting part of her legacy. She is survived by her loving daughter, Ashley Joiner and spouse Dennis Joiner II of Denham Springs, LA, and her cherished grandchildren, Alijah Vincent, Jasmine Batiste, Zachariah Batiste, and Dennis Joiner III, all of Denham Springs. She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Bertha Menard (Henry) of Rayne, LA and Margaret Porrier of Broussard, LA; and her ten brothers: Harris Nero, Larry Nero (Janet), Daniel Nero (Kathy), Micheal Nero (Rachael) and Alton Nero Jr. (Christine) of Duson, LA; Wilson Nero of Mire, LA; Kenneth Nero of Crowley, LA; Roger Nero (Georgia) of Rayne, LA; Rodney Nero of Lafayette, LA; Patrick Nero (Rachael) of Ville Platte, LA. She also leaves behind 21 beloved nieces and nephews, 40 great-nieces and nephews, 5 great-great-nieces and nephews, numerous extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys A. Nero and Alton J. Nero, Sr. Pallbearers will be Alijah Vincent, Michael Nero, Alton Nero, Roger Nero, Daniel Nero, Patrick Nero, Ronnie Nero and Coby Nero.
