Betty Lou Trahan Granger Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at a 2:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Betty Lou Trahan Granger, 86, who died Saturday, January 14, 2023 at The Ellington in Rayne. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne, LA. Fr. Brent Smith, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Mrs. Betty previously worked for the Lafayette Daily Advertiser, McBrides, Koury's and Gautreaux's Donut Kitchen. She owned Betty's Ceramic Shop and was an awesome pie maker. She was a member of the Ladies' Altar Society, Rayne Volunteer Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary, Woodmen of the World, American Legion Auxiliary, and a nursing home volunteer. Survivors include her three children, Estelle Granger Marceaux and spouse Pierre Marceaux, Lawrence Granger and spouse Patricia Granger, Barry Granger and spouse Samantha Granger, ten grandchildren, Nicholas Granger and spouse Crystal Granger, Jeremy Granger and spouse Erin Granger, Brendan Granger and spouse Ashley Granger, Emily Granger Arostegui and spouse Jamie Arostegui, Andrew Granger and fiance Beth Thibodeaux, Kristopher (K.C.) Granger, Justin Granger and spouse Kaysi Granger, Hanna Granger Thibodeaux and spouse Joey Thibodeaux, Heidi Marceaux, Anastasia Cashat and spouse Blake Cashat, 17 great grandchildren, sister, Louella Clark, brother, Richard Trahan and spouse Debbie Trahan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Granger, Jr., father, Voorhies Trahan, mother, Ella Trahan, stepmother, Aloncel Trahan, five sisters, Renola Trahan, Anna Mae Nugent, Bernice Trahan, , Barbara Broussard, and her twin sister Betty Ann Fontenot, four brothers, Milton Trahan, Adam Trahan, Roy Trahan, Raywood Trahan, and great grandchild, Angel Baby Arostegui. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Granger, Jeremy Granger, Brendan Granger, Andrew Granger, Kristopher (K.C.) Granger, and Justin Granger. A Rosary will be prayed Monday, January 16, 2023 at 6:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.
