Bertrand "June" Guidry, Jr. Rayne, LA -A Mass of Christian Burial for Bertrand "June" Guidry, Jr., age 88, of Rayne will be celebrated on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rayne. Father Kevin Bordelon, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery No. 2 Mausoleum, Rayne. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM in the funeral home. Mr. Guidry passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 in his Rayne residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Guidry was a U. S. Army veteran, and a member of American Legion Post 77. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, as well as the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Guidry worked for Riviana Rice Mill and Rayne Housing Authority. His greatest joy in life was caring for and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane LeJeune Guidry of Rayne; daughters, Rhonda Guidry of Rayne, Melissa Guidry of Rayne, and Brandi Hebert and husband, Jake of Rayne; sons, Glenn Guidry and wife, Mona of New Roads, Michael Guidry of Rayne, Ricky Guidry and wife, Cathy of Ventress, and Clyde Guidry of Rayne; sisters, Joyce Spell of Rayne, Mary Leger of Rayne, and Patsy Brice and husband, John of Scott; brothers, Jack Guidry and wife, Grace of Rayne, and Rufus Guidry and wife, Merlyne of Haughton; grandchildren, Kadie Fabre, Beau Guidry, Alex Guidry, Lance Guidry, Kyle Guidry, Carlie Guidry, Devin Guidry, Morgan Hebert, and Jake Hebert; great-grandchildren, Madisen Fabre, Baylie Fabre, Amelia Guidry, Emma Guidry, Laine Guidry, Baylee Guidry, Alaiyha Guidry, Paisley Guidry, Remie Guidry, Grayson Guidry, and Wyatt Guidry; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding Mr. Guidry in death were his parents, Bertrand Guidry, Sr. and Elita Castille Guidry; brothers, J. V. Guidry, M. B. Guidry, and Nelson Guidry; and sisters, Mabel Simon and Theresa Simon.
