Adeline "Bee" Credeur Adams

Adeline Credeur Adams Lafayette--Adeline "Bee" Credeur Adams passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. A resident of Broussard since 1967, she was born on January 1, 1940 in Lafayette, the first baby of the decade, to the late Columbus "Jack" Credeur and Josephine Menard Credeur. She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Gail Adams of Mandeville; one son, Henry Adams, III of Lafayette, and four grandchildren, Leah Michelle Couvillon of Metarie, Andrew David Immanuel Aceves of Mandeville, Kate Victoria Adams and Julia Elizabeth Adams both of Lafayette. She is also survived by two sisters, Agnes Lejeune of Lake Charles, and Viola "Doo" Granger of Scott; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Henry Adams, Jr.; her parents, Columbus "Jack" Credeur and Josephine Menard Credeur; one sister, Hazel Credeur Thibodeaux; and two brothers, Louis Lessin Credeur, and Lester "T-Frere" Credeur. Pallbearers are Andrew Aceves, Henry Adams, III, Kendall Granger, Ty Guidry, Tyler Harper, and Carol Lee Thibodeaux. A class of 1958 graduate of Rayne High School, she was devoted to her family. Family and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne. Reverend Christopher Cambre, Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass. Lectors are Janet Soprano and Susan Auburn. Gift Bearers are Faye Thibodeaux and Gloria Forestier. Organist and vocalist will be Gail Adams, with vocalist Andrew Aceves. Musical selections will include "Amazing Grace" for the Entrance Hymn, "Shepherd Me, O God" for the Responsorial Psalm, "O God Beyond All Praising" for the Preparation of the Gifts, "You Are Mine" for Communion, "Schubert's Ave Maria" for the Meditation sung by her grandson, and "On Eagles Wings" for Dismissal. Interment will be held in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following Mass. The Committal Service at graveside will be conducted by His Excellency, The Most Reverend Michael Jarrell, Bishop Emeritus of The Diocese of Lafayette. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 6:00 PM in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne. The family requests that visitation be observed on Sunday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of services in Gossen Funeral Home.
